The Bossier Parish Police Jury has announced a road closure at US 80 (E. Texas Street) at the UP RR crossing. Per the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that this closure will begin on Sunday, Oct. 27.
This road closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7 a.m. on Oct. 27 and will remain in place until Friday, Nov. 1 at approximately 5 p.m.
This closure is necessary to allow UP Railroad to perform repairs at their crossing. This crossing is located about 700 feet west of the LA 3 (Benton Road) intersection.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Traffic will be detoured via the Walter O. Bigby Carriageway, and detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
