District 1-5A basketball competition continues tonight for both boys and girls with the girls playing their sixth game of district, one game short of the halfway point, and the boys finishing their second week of action.
Airline hosts Natchitoches Central, Parkway is at Benton, Southwood plays at Byrd and Captain Shreve is on the road to Haughton.
The local Class A teams finish the first week of their District 1-1A seasons by meeting each other tonight. Magnolia Charter travels to Plain Dealing for a doubleheader.
Non-district games have Booker T. Washington in Minden to play the Tide, Wossman travels from Monroe to face Bossier and North Caddo is in Shreveport to battle Woodlawn. All three are boys and girls doubleheaders.
A couple of local boys teams will travel to Grambling to play in the Lincoln Prep Classic Saturday. BTW plays Red River at 1:30 p.m. and Huntington will go against Peabody at 4:30 p.m.
