Local boys’ basketball teams participating in the LHSAA playoffs will play first-round games on Friday with Loyola and Evangel being the lone teams playing at home.

Evangel, a No. 12 seed, will host No. 21 St. Louis Catholic in a Select Division II game at 6:30 p.m. The Eagles bring a 21-10 record while the Saints are 14-15 overall and finished third in District 3-3A. 

Loyola, 15 seed in Select Division III, will entertain No. 18 Sarah Reed at 6 p.m. The Flyers are 18-12 on the season and finished second in District 1-2A. Reed is 16-13 and was third in District 9-3A.
