Noyes gets life term for Jermond Lewis murder

A Shreveport man convicted in Caddo District Court just over a week ago for the 2022 murder of Jermond Lewis was sentenced to life in prison for the slaying.

Romullus Noyes, 23, was formally sentenced to the mandatory term on Aug. 16 by District Judge Donald E. Hathaway Jr.

Noyes was found guilty on Aug. 8 for the second-degree murder of Lewis, 41, who was shot 11 times Feb. 15, 2022, in the parking lot of the Economy Inn and Suites in the 5100 block of Westwood Park off Monkhouse Drive.

Assistant District Attorneys Christopher Bowman and Kendra Joseph prosecuted Noyes. He was defended by Elizabeth Gibson and Carter Lawrence.
