Calvary Baptist has had 16 players selected by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association for All-State football teams during the past decade, leading Shreveport-Bossier schools.
The Cavaliers had the most selected by any of the local schools in 2014 with five on the Class 2A team after claiming the Select Division III state championship for the second time in a row. Shun Brown in 2013, ’14 and Landry Lyddy in 2020, ’21 made it in back-to-back seasons with Lyddy named the Outstanding Offensive Player both seasons.
Evangel is next with 10 players led by Micah Baskerville being selected in 2016, ’17 and Parker Fulghum the past two seasons with his senior season ahead of him.
Northwood has placed eight and Byrd and Parkway five. Green Oaks has had three, all of them receivers and De’Coldest Crawford was a three-time selection from 2019-21. North Caddo receiver Omarion Miller was also a three-time selection each of the last three years.
