Funeral services for Golda Nell Holder, 88, will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport. Burial will follow at Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport. A visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Officiating the service will be Brother Mike Hawkins and Reverend McKee Williams.
Nell was born on Sept. 29, 1934, in Epps to Joseph Mickens Sandifer and Bertha Mae Kitchens Sandifer and passed away on Dec. 1, 2022, at her home in Stonewall.
Nell spent her career as a librarian and enjoyed reading. She also loved cardinals, hummingbirds and cooking. She was married to the love of her life, G.T. “Tommy” Holder for over 65 years. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her entire family. She will be terribly missed but, in our hearts, forever.
Nell is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, G.T. “Tommy” Holder; daughter, Donna Smith; grandsons, Luke Moss and wife, Filisha, Chris Moss and Thomas Legg; great-grandchildren, Eli Moss, Gracelyn Moss, Colton Cayton and Emma Moss.
Honoring Nell as pallbearers will be Luke Moss, Chris Moss, Thomas Legg, Randall King, Terry Martin and Larry Wall. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bob Stanley and Ray Allen.
