Remembering David “Dale” Wray

October 16, 1947 — November 27, 2022

David “Dale” Wray entered into eternal rest on Nov. 27, 2022, in Bossier City. He was born on Oct.16, 1947, in Shreveport to Gilmer and Kay Wray.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at The Pentecostals of Bossier, 2833 Viking Dr, Bossier City. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jerry Dean. Interment will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery in Haughton.

Dale graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, where he played football and baseball. After high school, he proudly served as SP5 in the United States Army for three years while stationed in Germany. Dale was married to his loving wife, Mrs. Cloteal Wray, for 49 beautiful years. He took great care of Cloteal. Dale enjoyed working with his hands, and he was an excellent artist. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cloteal Wray of Bossier daughter, Stephanie Parker and husband Dewaine of Lutcher; son, Lange Wray and wife Lana of Benton; grandchildren, Angela Whitehead, Jared Parker, Ann Marie Dufrene, Hudson Wray, and William Wray; great-grandchildren, Zane Whitehead, Maverick Whitehead, Ryan Dufrene, Kori Marie Dufrene, and Grayson Dufrene.

Honoring Dale as pallbearers will be Zachary Whitehead, Terry “Slugger” Dean, Mark Jordan, Ron Thwing, Jonathan Carter, and Dean Carter. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Billy Ray Parker.
