The Shreveport Mudbugs fell 3-0 on Friday and 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday in New Mexico as their losing streak reached five games.
The power-play woes continued for Shreveport, who failed to convert on all seven chances with the man-advantage during the weekend. The Mudbugs are now 0-for-20 on the power-play dating back to the second period on Oct. 22.
Shreveport scored just one goal in 125 minutes of action – their lowest output of a weekend series this season — against the Ice Wolves.
Things get no easier as Shreveport will begin the second half of their extended road trip with a pair of games at Lone Star. The Brahmas boast a 13-1-1 mark and lead the North American Hockey League’s South Division.
