Bossier Parish Community College opened its 2022-23 season with a record-breaking 136-69 win over North American University Junior Varsity Thursday night at the Billy Montgomery Gym.
Christian Caldwell led nine Cavaliers in double figures with 22 points and added nine rebounds. Three other Cavs tallied 14 points, led by newcomers Logan Turner and Hugo Clarkin along with sophomore Eric McKnight. Clarkin had eight rebounds and Turner tied for a team high with six assists. D’Marcus Hall had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Damani Claxton had 12 points and matched Turner in assists with six.
Kendrick Delahoussaye and Erin Wright both scored 11 and Jon-Quarius McGhee rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
The Cavaliers’ 136 points is the most scored by a BPCC team. The previous mark was 130 set in 1993-94 against Jacksonville. Their 59 field goals made is also a record, tying a mark set in 2013 against East Texas Flight.
