JOURNAL STAFF
In February, Shreveport’s Parker Suckle became the Shreveport-Bossier Journal’s first “Junior Reporter.” In his debut column, then 10 years old, Suckle described the level of his LSU fandom and depth of knowledge about anything Tigers. His favorite number is 18 – what a coincidence – and he was in the Superdome when LSU captured its last national championship.
Suckle will level up today in Baton Rouge.
The St. Joseph Catholic School 6th-grader submitted his Journal column and was subsequently selected as LSU’s “Junior Broadcaster” for the game against Ole Miss. One of the perks will be a live interview on the LSU Sports Radio Network from Tiger One Village prior to the Tigers’ 2:30 battle with the Rebels.
The Suckle family also received a Whataburger prize pack and four tickets to today’s game.
