Huntington senior quarterback Kam Evans had his third game of the year with 300 or more yards passing last week and is the first to pass for more than 2,000 yards in 2022.
Evans was 16-of-26 for 315 yards and three touchdowns in a 60-28 win over Woodlawn. He now has 2,080 yards for the year and is completing 58 percent of his passes (113-of-194).
Airline sophomore quarterback Ben Taylor also passed for more than 300 yards in helping lead the Vikings past Haughton in a 55-42 shootout. Taylor was 25-of-32 for 329 yards and three scores.
Parkway running back Jaylan White was held under his norm this past week but continues to lead the area with 895 yards on 93 carries, averaging 9.6 yards per attempt. Greg Manning of Benton is second on the list with 800 yards and has scored 15 touchdowns. Northwood’s Quintavion White has scored 13 touchdowns rushing and has 716 yards.
