Airline is the new No. 1 in the Shreveport Bossier Journal prep football Top 10 poll after last week’s games had No. 5 Byrd knock off previously unbeaten and then-No. 1 Parkway, 39-14.
The Vikings have won their last four games and last week outlasted No. 4 Haughton 55-42.
Benton moves up a notch to No. 2 after being ranked third the last two weeks, and is on a 3-game win streak. With its win, Byrd moves up two spots to No. 3. Parkway falls to No. 4, Calvary, winner of its last four, is fifth. Huntington is up one spot to No. 6, Haughton drops three slots to No. 7 after losing 55-42 to Airline. Northwood is in sole possession of the eighth slot, Evangel ninth and North Caddo moves back into the rankings at No. 10.
