Calvary scored the first 51 points of the game and rolled to a 51-14 victory against Green Oaks in District 1-2A action Thursday night.
It seemed everyone got involved for the Cavaliers (5-2, 2-0).
Running back James Simon scored twice and quarterback Abram Wardell tossed three scores – a pair to Aubrey Hermes — and added a touchdown on the ground. Calvary’s defense got involved early with a fumble return for a score during the Giants’ first offensive possession.
According to Calvary’s statistics, Simon now has 14 touchdowns on the season (10 rushing) and Wardell has been responsible for 20 scores (18 passing, two rushing).
Calvary head coach Rodney Guin’s group led 34-0 following the first quarter Thursday. The Cavaliers travel to D’Arbonne Woods next week and finish with Lakeside and Loyola.
Green Oaks (2-5, 0-2) has lost three straight games. The Giants travel to Vivian to play North Caddo in Week 8.
