TMJ makes first four catches of season; Tre’ White eyes return

By ROY LANG III, Journal Sports

Terrace Marshall Jr. hauled in four passes for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday – his first receptions of the season. Maybe there are brighter days ahead with the head coaching change and loss of quarterback Baker Mayfield. Meanwhile, in Buffalo, Tre’Davious White seems to be on track to return to the field soon. Very soon. The former Green Oaks star has returned to practice 11 months after a devastating knee injury. A target for game action could be Week 8, which comes after the Bills’ bye.

LOCAL NFL STARS: 2022 Week 5

Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina (22, WR, Parkway)

Saw his first four targets of the season Sunday against San Francisco and caught every one. Compiled 30 yards and perhaps earned some playing time for the Panthers, who fired their coach and lost their starting quarterback.

Israel Mukuamu, Dallas (22, S, Parkway)

Limited snaps against the Los Angeles Rams. Saw no action on defense, but 25 special teams snaps.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (29, QB, Haughton)

It seems unlikely Prescott will play in the Cowboys’ biggest game of the season (Sunday vs. Philadelphia), but it’s not out of the question.

Robert Rochell, Los Angeles Rams (24, DB, Fair Park)

Played just three snaps on defense against the Cowboys, but 27 on special teams and made one tackle.

L’Jarius Sneed, Kansas City (25, DB, Minden)

Recorded seven tackles against the Las Vegas Raiders in an epic Monday Night showdown. He’s still looking for his first interception of the season, after combining for five during his first two campaigns.

Marquez Stevenson, Buffalo (23, WR, Northwood)

Still on injured reserve after foot surgery without a timetable to return.

Trent Taylor, Cincinnati (28, WR, Evangel)

Saw just one snap on offense against Baltimore. Still seeking his first target of the 2022 season.

Jerry Tillery, Los Angeles Chargers (25, DL, Evangel)

Produced one assist in 26 snaps against Cleveland.

Ar’Darius Washington, Baltimore (22, S, Evangel)

On the Ravens’ practice squad.

Devin White, Tampa Bay (24, LB, North Webster)

Tied a season low with five tackles against Atlanta, but added a tackle for loss and two quarterback hits.

Tre’Davious White, Buffalo (27, DB, Green Oaks)

Buffalo “activated” the All-Pro from IR. This opens a 21-day window to officially activate White or he will miss the entire season. He returned to practice Wednesday, but is not expected to be available Sunday, but could return after the team’s bye.

Greedy Williams, Cleveland (24, DB, Calvary)

Listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against New England. His 2022 debut seems imminent.

Rodarius Williams, New York Giants (25, DB, Calvary)

Has yet to be activated (surgery for a bone spur in his knee).

Brandon Wilson, Cincinnati (28, DB, Calvary Baptist)

On the PUP list.

Donovan Wilson, Dallas Cowboys (27, S, Woodlawn)

Played 85 percent of the snaps against the Rams and contributed six tackles. Quarterbacks are just 12-of-21 passing for 83 yards, no touchdowns and one interception when they throw to a receiver covered by Wilson.
