Huntington’s Kam Evans, the area’s passing leader, became the first quarterback in Caddo-Bossier history to post his second career 500-yard game last week in a win over Minden. He and Benton quarterback Gray Walters became the first two to do it the same week. Evans had 501 yards against Minden, and Walters 515 against Byrd.
Ben Taylor of Airline is second in passing after posting his second-biggest game of the season with 253 yards against Natchitoches Central. It was the sophomore’s fourth game of the season with more than 200 yards.
Parkway’s Jaylan White ran for 284 yards against Captain Shreve and passed the Gators’ Jayden Edwards to take over the local lead in rushing yards 779 to 734. White is averaging over 10 yards per carry.
Benton receiver Pearce Russell is one reception ahead of Daxton Chavez of Airline and has a 685-672 edge in yardage.
