Haughton softball pitcher Macey Schut spun a two-hitter and two Lady Bucs had multiple hits in a 12-1 run-rule win over North Webster in five innings Monday evening in Springhill.
Schut shut out the Knights after allowing a first-inning unearned run, striking out two and walking two to get the win in the circle.
Ariana Mathews was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, Kylie Small was 2-for-4 and Brooklynn Bockhaus had a double, scored three runs and drove in two for Haughton, who improved to 14-10. Averi Phillips also had a double and drove in two runs and Ella Vickers drove in two runs.
MANY 12, BENTON 1: The hosts, defending Class 2A champions, scored five runs in the first inning to set the tone in claiming the non-district win at Many. Benton (15-7) was limited to four hits in the contest, all of them doubles by Meaux Carroll, Taylor Gonzales, Marissa Schoth and Sophia Livers.

CALVARY 22, PLAIN DEALING 0: The Cavaliers used five pitchers to one-hit the Lions and slugged 13 hits to pick up the District 1-1A win at home. Blayne McFerren was 2-for-3 with three RBI, Hutch Grace 2-for-2 with 3 RBI and Sawyer Fowler 2-for-3 to pace Calvary (13-10, 3-0). Landon Smith struck out all three batters he faced to pick up the win and Luke Icenhower fanned two of the three he saw to get the save.
