Captain Shreve’s boys basketball team will make the trip down I-49 to Natchitoches to face the Chiefs in a big District 1-5A game at the Teepee.
The Gators (16-4, 5-0) and Chiefs (14-4, 4-1) didn’t play each other in district last year because of Covid. Natchitoches finished 1-5A last year 6-0 in first place and Shreve at 10-1 was second. The two did face each other in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs with Natchitoches coming away with a 41-39 win at home.
