Captain Shreve and Natchitoches Central sit atop the District 1-5A standings with 4-0 marks and will be looking to put a little more distance between them and the rest of the district Tuesday night.

Both schools will be facing the two schools directly beneath them that are tied for third with 3-1 records in Airline and Southwood.

Both third place teams have won three straight after losing their district openers to the two first-place teams.

Shreve, sporting a 15-4 overall record and winners of eight straight, will entertain Airline (9-6) in the Swamp. The Vikes only district loss came by one point (46-45) to Natchitoches.

Southwood (10-12) will host the Chiefs (14-3) who have won 11 straight. The Cowboys lone district setback came at home to Shreve 53-30.

Other 1-5A games has Haughton (12-8, 0-4) hosting Benton (8-16, 2-3) and Parkway (5-11, 0-4) going across the river to play Byrd (9-8, 1-3).

Booker T. Washington (15-6, 3-1) will play at Woodlawn (17-5, 2-1) with both teams trying to stay right behind league leader Huntington.

The Raiders (11-4, 3-0) will be on the road to Minden (3-18, 0-3). Northwood (12-9, 2-2) will travel to Evangel (13-5, 2-1) where the Eagles will try to move into a tie for second place with a win.

Mansfield (7-6) will open District 1-3A play at Bossier (16-5, 2-0) hoping to snap a four-game loss skein.

Loyola (8-12) will host North Webster (6-12, 0-1) in the other 1-3A game.

Calvary (9-7) will play its first district game of the season when it hosts Arcadia (4-12).
